Use cases

Practical control over your infrastructure

From Windows or Linux devices to switches and printers, from PXE provisioning to Docker management - Ordyn handles the operational work that otherwise ends up in scattered scripts and separate tools or simply doesn't get done.

Manage Windows and Linux endpoints centrally.
Keep hardware, software, services, processes, updates, Docker, system status, and security posture visible.
Install, update, and remove software with reusable package workflows.
Run jobs on individual devices, groups, folders, tenants, or as staged rollouts.
Automate endpoint work with scripts, conditions, loops, variables, schedules, and events.
Provision Windows systems via PXE and unattended.xml.
Monitor and enforce endpoint configuration with configuration profiles.
Manage switches and printers via SNMP.
Track and automatically document IP addresses and discovered networks with IPAM.
Provide Windows users with approved actions via a local self-service portal.

Core Capabilities

Everything in one control plane

Ordyn combines the capabilities that often require separate tools - endpoint management, software lifecycle, and network visibility.

Endpoint Inventory

OS, hardware, software, services, processes, updates, disks, memory, network interfaces, Docker resources, Hyper-V VMs, and security posture - collected automatically and kept current.

Software Management

Model applications as products, variants, channels, and packages. Deploy, update, and uninstall with reusable package workflows across any scope.

Package Discovery

A built-in discovery service checks vendor download pages for new software versions using a real browser and a reasoning model - automatically.

Jobs & Automation

Reusable workflows with scripts, conditions, loops, variables, user prompts, and artifact collection.

GUI Automation

Automate recurring GUI-based tasks on Windows using the Ordyn Recorder. Workflows are executed via automatic sign-in on the device through the Ordyn Agent.

Windows Provisioning & OS Deployment

Full PXE provisioning with unattended installs of Windows systems.

Platform Support

First-class agents for Windows & Linux

Ordyn installs a native system service so automation runs in the right context with the right permissions. Network devices are managed via SNMP alongside agent-managed computers.

See platform details

Windows

  • Native service + MSI installation
  • PowerShell & CMD scripts
  • Windows Update policy
  • PXE / WinPE provisioning
  • Hyper-V inventory & VM actions
  • Tray & self-service portal

🐧 Linux

  • Native agent as systemd service
  • Bash automation
  • Package & update inventory
  • Docker & Compose management
  • x86_64 and ARM64
  • Debian .deb package

Network & Infrastructure

SNMP switches, printers, net nodes (PXE / WoL / IPAM), and generic endpoints appear in the same device tree as agent-managed computers.

Security & Architecture

Designed for real networks

Ordyn uses a multi-layered architecture so the Ordyn server requires no direct inbound access from managed endpoints. Agents and service clients maintain outbound connections via a relay host. All instructions and responses are cryptographically signed.

  • Signed instructions & responses

Agents verify signed instructions before execution. The Ordyn server verifies signed endpoint responses. Files are delivered with signed metadata and integrity checks.

  • Edge & cache node separation

Edge nodes relay commands. Cache nodes handle file and package delivery. Authorization, transport, and file delivery are kept separate.

  • Multi-tenant & multi-site

Tenants, folders, groups, and roles enable controlled delegation across sites, VLANs, and network zones - with a full audit log.
